OPEN YOUR HEART
Celebrate the month of February a different way! Sign up for a yoga workshop that will open your heart—it is after all the location of Anahata chakra, the fourth energetic wheel of your physical and subtle body, the center of compassion.
Without talking too much about the chakras because they are, frankly, a fascinating and complex subject that deserves pages and pages and I’m no expert—for an expert, go take a yoga class with Marion M’Santi or make an appointment for one of her Chakra Harmonization Therapy sessions. She is charming and knows her stuff.
Anyway, in the simplest terms: all of these chakras, these wheels, turn, turn, and turn to receive, circulate, transmit and emit our Prana. Anahata is super important because it is located in the middle of the seven chakras, and connects the lower three chakras which manage our stability, creativity, and self-esteem, and the three chakras in the penthouse that are associated with communication, intuition, and self-realization. See, I told you it was complex!
When the Anahata wheel squeaks, we feel indifferent, cold, unable to express love or generosity. We walk around stooped over, we are depressed, we have health problems like, for example, high blood pressure. In short, life becomes pretty sad and colorless.
But when Anahata is balanced, when its rotations easily distribute the energy that flows through us, then we can find more acceptance, goodness, and are more in tune with ourselves and others.
